Using database data in layouts
After you have created your database, you can incorporate data from it into your new layouts. This
section describes how to do this.
The following are the three basic steps you might perform in order to use the database data in your
layouts.
1. Define joined fields.
2. Merge database fields into the selected layout.
3. Arrange the fields in the layout.
All of these steps are described in detail below.
1. Define joined fields.
The following operation describes how you can join two or more fields into a single field, which makes
it easier to check that your text fits.
As an example, let's join the First Name and Last Name fields of the data we entered into our database.
1. In the [Tool] menu, click the [Joined Fields] command to display the Define Joined Fields dialog
box.
