Grounding the Switch
To attach the ESD wrist stra p to the system groun d lug screw for any of the Cisco Nexus 3000 Seri es
switches, clip the grounding wire to the screw that attac hes the grounding lug to t he switch chassis (see
Figure 2-7).

In addition, follow these guidelines when handling modules:
• Handle carriers by available handles or edges only; avoid touching the printed circuit boards or
connectors.
• Place a removed component board-side-up on an antistatic surface or in a static-shielding container.
If you plan to return the compo nent to the factory, immediately place i t in a static-shielding
container.
• Never attempt to remove the prin ted circuit board from the m etal carrier.
