LEVELING THE TABLE SUPPORTS
See Figures22A and 22B.
The table supportsmust be perfectly level.
Pullthe bevel locklever forward to unlockit. Use
thebevel index knobtorotate the motorsothe
arborshaft points down. Lock the bevel lock lever.
Release the arm lockknob to angle the arm. Begin
bypositioningthe arborshaft over the backof the
highesttable support. Normallythis is the left side.

Lockthe arm lock knob and the carriage lockknob.
Usingone of the blade wrenches as afeeler gage,
placeit on the table supportbelow the arbor shaft.
With theelevatinghandwheel, carefully lower the
motoruntil the shaftjusttouches the wrench. The
wrenchshould move withonly slightresistance.
Securelytighten the backscrew on the table
support.
Withoutchanging the elevation,move the arm to
placethe bladearbor over the front of table sup-
port. See Figure 22B.
ARMLOCKKNOB
Placethe wrench below the shaft and check that
theclearance is the same. If not, adjust the table
supportuntilit isthe same. Securelytightenthe
frontscrew.
Movethe arm to the oppositeside and repeatthe
aboveprocedure. When the opposite side is level,
recheckthe first side to make sure that it is still
accurateand even.
Returnthe saw andmotor to normal height and
position.
