ALIGNING BLADE TOTABLE AT 0°BEVEL
See Figures 30A -30D.
This procedure squares the bladeto the table at O"
bevel (vertical)so the blade angle willbe accurate. If
the blade is r_otat O"bevel, follow the stepsbelow to
rotateslightly. You will need a framing square and a
1/4in. hex key.
Positionthe blade in front of the fence. Lower the
bladewith the elevating handwheel untilitjust
clearsthe front table.
Lockthe followingcontrols:
bevel locklever below the handle,
carriagelock knob on the left side,
armlock knob on top of the arm,and
yokelock handle below the yoke, on the right.
Stand a framing square on the table with the short
leg pointingup againstthe saw blade and the long
leg parallelto the fence. Placethe square flat
againstthe blade between two teeth.
If boththe top and bottom ofthe saw blade aN flat
againstthe square,no adjustment is needed.
Ifthe sawblade gaps at the top or bottom, remove
the bevel indexcap by removing the two phillips
head screws(below the handle). You will see four
sockethead screws.
Loosenthe socket head screwswith a 1/4 in.hex
key.Rotate the motorslightlywhile holdingthe
squareagainst the saw blade and table top.
Slightlytighteneach ofthe four screws and recheck
theblade andframing square.
ARMLOCKKNOB
Ifthere are nogaps, fully tighteneach screw. If
then is stilla gap, repeat the previoustwo steps.
Checkthe bevel indicator onthe yokeassembly
nearthe handle. It shouldread 0% If it does not,
resetit by looseningthe screws and rotatingthe
bevelindex cap. Retighten the twoscrews.
Loosenthe carriage lock knob.
