14. PERIODIC SERVICE

Checking the Transmission Oil Level

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage.

●ALWAYS check the oil level before day's operation. If the oil level is low, a serious transmission problem can occur.

●ALWAYS check the oil level before operation. ●ALWAYS check the oil level when the engine is

cold and not running.

●ALWAYS maintain the oil level between the high and low marks.

●ALWAYS shut the engine down and allow to cool before adding the transmission oil.

1.Park the tractor safely and securely. Allow the tractor to cool off for at least 1 hour.

2.Tilt the seat forward.

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage.

●Prevent dirt and other contaminants from entering the transmission. Clean the area around the dipstick before removing it.

3.Remove the dipstick.

4.Thoroughly wipe the dipstick clean with a rag. Only insert the dipstick into the hole. At this point, do not fasten the dipstick into the hole.

NOTE:

●The dipstick is integrated with the oil fill cap.

5.Check the oil level on the dipstick. The oil level should be between the high and low marks on the dipstick.

6.If the oil level is low:

Clean the area around the oil fill cap, then remove the fill cap from the transmission housing.

Add Cub Cadet Hydraulic / Transmission Fluid through the fill port until the oil level is appropriate.

NOTE:

●NEVER overfill.

7.Replace and tighten the dipstick.
