42 Configuring the router

VIEWING THE LOG

The router keeps a running log of events and activities occurring on the router. If the router is rebooted, the logs are automatically cleared. You can save the log files under Log Settings.

To view the Log:

1Access the Configuration menu by following the instructions in To access the Web-based configuration utility: on page 13.

2Click the Status tab, then the Log button. The View Log screen opens.

Button	Description
First Page	The first page of the log.
Last Page	The last page of the log.
Previous	Moves back one log page.
Next	Moves forward one log page.
Clear	Clears the logs completely.
Log Settings	Brings up the page to configure the log.

CONFIGURING THE LOG

Not only does the router display the logs of activities and events, it can be set up to send these logs to a specific e-mail address.

To configure the log:

1Access the Configuration menu by following the instructions in To access the Web-based configuration utility: on page 13.

2Click the Status tab, then the Log button. The View Log screen opens.
