3Click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), then click Properties. The Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties screen opens.

4Click Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain a DNS server address automatically.

5Click OK to save your changes and exit.

To assign a static IP address with Macintosh OS X:

1Go to the Apple menu, then click System Preferences.

2Click Network, then click Built-in Ethernet in the Show list.
