Optical Port	Fibre Channel interfaces of a DS-16B switch equipped with an optical
Specifications	port interface uses a short wavelength (780 to 850 ∝m.) or long
	wavelength (1270 to 1350 ∝m) laser transmitter. The laser complies
	with 21 CFR(J) Class 1 laser safety requirements. It uses Non-Open
	Fibre Control (OFC) Optical GBICs in the circuit. Safe Class 1
	operation is guaranteed by limiting optical power emitted by the
	port, thereby eliminating the need for physical shutters. The optical
	GBIC uses the duplex-SC connector scheme.
Environmental	The switch’s primary operating environments are server rooms,
