1.3.4 Thoroughly inspect the area where the equipm ent is to be used and remove all
stones, sticks, wires, bones, and other foreig n objects which may damage the
equipment or cause per sonal injury to the operator or bystanders.

Do not run eng ine indoor s or in a small confined ar ea
where dangerous carbon monoxide fumes can collect.

and highly explosive.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
A fire or explosion from g asoline can bur n you, ot hers,
and cause property damag e.
HOW TO AVOID T HE HAZARD
DO NOT sm oke while refueling , and stay away from
an open flame or where g asoline fumes m ay be ignited
by spark.
Refuel only outdoors.
Store g asoline in an appr oved container and keep it
out of t he r each of children.
Add fuel before star ting the eng ine. Never remove the
cap of t he fuel tank or add f uel when engine is r unning
or when the engine is hot.
Never fill t he fuel tank so that t he gasoline level rises
above a level that is 1/2” below the bottom of the filler
neck to allow f or gasoline expansion and prevent fuel
spillage.
If fuel is spilled, DO NOT attempt to start the engine.
Move away from the area of t he spill and avoid
creating any source of ignit ion unt il fuel vapors have
dissipated.
Don not operate without ent ir e exhaust system in place
and in proper working condition.
