By default the installation creates a directory called “MediaLink” within the Extron folder on the PC hard drive, and places the following icons in it:

•MediaLnk52.exe (MediaLink Configuration program)

•MLC52wizard.exe (a program to help you get started with the MLC 52)

•MediaLnk52.hlp (MLC 52 Help)

Starting the configuration program

It is not necessary to have the MLC 52 connected and powered up in order to start the configuration program if you start it in emulation mode. See “Using emulation mode” on page 5-14, for more information.

To run the configuration program,

1. Click Start on your PC screen.

2. From the Start menu, select All Programs.

3. From the Programs menu, select Extron Electronics.

4. From the Extron menu, select MLC 52 + DVCM 50.

5. Select MLC 52 + DVCM 50 Control Program. The first time you open the program, the MLC 52 and DVCM 50 Configuration Wizard screen opens, allowing you to choose either the Configuration Wizard or the Windows- based configuration program to configure your MLC.

(You can select a different opening program and screen later, if desired. See “Selecting the starting screen” on page 5-46.)
