EQUIPMENT CARE
• Keep all equipment and accessories out of the reach of small children.
• Do not place heavy objects on the equipment.
• Do not use the batteries except as specified.
• Use only the batteries specified for use with the CFV.
• Remove the batte ries when cleani ng the camera or i f you intend to le ave it
unused for a long period.
• If you us e spare (standard or recha rgeable) batter y pack s be par ticular ly
careful to use the supplied protect ive cap when storing. The re is a potential
fire risk if the contacts are short circuited across a conductive object (such as
keys in a pocket, for example).
• Take particular care when working with strobe / studio flash units to prevent
damage to equipment and personal injury.
• Do not attempt to open the CFV.
• Always replace the protective sensor filter cover when the digital back is not
mounted on a camera.
• Do not touch the exposed sensor filter with your fingers.
• Ensure that the databus connections are not damaged or soiled in any way.
• Keep all foreign objects out of the CFV openings.
• Keep the original shipping boxes for storage.
• K eep your CFV and all othe r compute r equipm ent away from mois ture. If
your CFV becomes wet, disconnect from power and allow it to dry before at-
tempting to operate again.
• N ever cover the ventilation openings on the CFV when in use.
• N ever try to remove th e glass IR filter fro m the fron t of the se nsor; this w ill
probably ruin the sensor. If dust manages to get bet ween the sensor and IR
filter, please contact your Hasselblad dealer for assistance.
• Avoid frequent and severe temperature changes and be parti cularly careful
in humid environments. Allow the equipmen t to acclimatize whenever pos-
sible before use. Try to en sure the storage co nditions in such environments
are as dry as possible.
• Prevent dust and grit from getting into your equipment. In coastal areas take
measures to protect your equipment from sand and salt water spray.
• Avoid physical shock s to the CFV. Some fo rm of pro tective cas e or came ra
bag is advised for transportation.
• Hass elblad e quipment is much sought af ter and you shoul d take ob vious
steps to prevent theft. Never leave it visible in an unattended car, fo r exam-
ple. Separate and spec ific camera insuran ce cover should be considered by
professional users.
SERVICE
Return your equipment to a service centre for occasional checking and
preventive maintenance to ensure optimal reliability.
GUARANTEE
Provided tha t you bo ught you r equipm ent from an auth orized
Hasselblad outlet, it is covered by an international guarantee for one
year. The guarantee document and a reg istration card are supp lied
with the CFV. Keep the guarantee document c arefully, but fill in the
registration card and return it to your Hasselblad distributor.
DISPOSAL
If you need to dispose of the CFV, Imagebank and/or batteries, please
do so in an environmentally friendly manner at the local waste plant/
recycling centre or similar.
