●Print Cartridge Ordering Information dialog box: For a list of print cartridge selection numbers, open the printer Toolbox, click the Estimated Ink Level tab, and then click the Print Cartridge Ordering Information button.

Ink-backup mode

The printer can operate with only one print cartridge installed. For more information, see Ink-backup mode.

Installation instructions

Follow these steps to install a print cartridge:

1Verify that the printer is turned on.

2Load Letter or A4 plain, white paper in the In tray.

3Open the printer cover.

4Wait until the print cartridge cradle moves to the right side of the printer and is idle and quiet.

5Press down on the print cartridge, and then slide it out of the print cartridge cradle.
