Installing the A6829A Adapter

Specifying SCSI Parameters

NOTE

If you set a particular maximum data transfer rate to the SCSI controller

(in this example, 53C1010-66), then the same maximum data transfer

rate is set to all the devices.

This happens because all the devices are connected to the same SCSI

bus, which is controlled by the SCSI controller.

Step

6.

After making the necessary changes, press the [ESC] key to exit the

Device Properties screen. This takes you back to the Adapter Properties

screen.

Step

7.

Press the [ESC] key to exit the Adapter Properties screen.

If you did not modify any of the SCSI parameters, then the Global

Properties screen appears.

However, if you modified any of the SCSI parameters, then the following

screen appears:

Adapter and/or device property changes have been made.

<Cancel Exit>

<Save changes then exit this menu>

<Discard changes then exit this menu>

Exit the Configuration Utility

Use the arrow keys to highlight your selection from the listed choices,

and then press the [ENTER] key to return to the Global Properties

screen.

Step

8.

Press the [ESC] key. This displays the following screen:

Are you sure you want to exit?

<Cancel Exit>

Save changes then exit this menu

Discard changes then exit this menu

<Exit the Configuration Utility>

Use the arrow keys to highlight your selection from the listed choices, and then press the [ENTER] key to return to the EFI shell prompt.
