3.4 Typical Configuration Examples of E1 Voice

3.4.1 Router Connected to PBX through E1 Voice Port

I. Networking requirement
The telephones in Beijing and Shenzhen communicate with each other directl y via IP
network using routers with voice function. The FXS (POTS) interface of Beijing router is
connected to the telephone directly and is connected to PBX exchange through E1
voice port. The Shenzhen router is connected to PBX exc hange only through E1 voice
port. The communications signaling adopts R2 signaling and adopts single sta ge
dialing mode.
