Question: Under SCO UnixWare, the system displays a panic message or crashes during bootup:

Answer: Reboot the system and verify that the INI-9100U/9100UW is using IRQ10. Please Refer to your system documentation to set the interrupt levels and your peripheral documentation for help in setting SCSI ID’s.

In order to boot from the old UnixWare kernel, reboot the system and execute the following steps:

Begin an interactive boot session by pressing the <SPACEBAR> at the BOOTING UNIXWARE prompt.

At the system [boot]# prompt, type KERNEL=unix.org <ENTER>

Type go <ENTER>.

“Troubleshooting” section to help isolate the problem. If it becomes necessary to remove the Initio device driver, please consult the “Removing the Initio Driver from a SCO UnixWare System” section of this document.
