What happens at system reset

If these pins are jumpered, the system will attempt BIOS recovery. These pins should not be jumpered for normal operation.

If these pins are jumpered, the password will be cleared on the next reset. These pins should not be jumpered for normal operation.

If these pins are jumpered, the CMOS settings will be cleared on the next reset. These pins should not be jumpered for normal operation.

These pins, when jumpered, protect the BIOS Boot Block code. If it becomes necessary to update the BIOS Boot Block, this jumper should be removed during the update process. These pins should be jumpered for normal operation.

NOTE: This jumper should remain in place for normal BIOS operational code updates.

These pins are for normal operation.

NOTE

The jumper should remain on pins 7-8 at all times until you are instructed to perform a BIOS Boot Block update. At this time, remove the jumper, run the BIOS update, and then replace the jumper when completed.
