4.On the General tab, enter the Share Name, Share Path, (and if desired) a brief description of the share in the Comment field.

Note: The Comment is ignored for NFS, FTP, and HTTP shares.

5.Under Accessible from the following clients, check the appropriate box(es) to specify which types of protocols to enable.

6.Use the protocol tabs to configure the specific properties of each type of share. For more information, see the specific headings under the section “Modifying Windows or UNIX Share Properties” on page 118.

Removing a Windows or UNIX Share

You can remove shares entirely, or you can simply disable a given protocol. The result of this is that access to the share is removed, yet the actual files remain on the DataSafe NAS.
