Note: When you add a new team or if you delete a team from the Network Control Panel, the frame type for each adapter in the team reverts to Auto. This is important only if you need to manually set the frame type on your adapters.

Breaking and Restoring Team

Configuration

CAUTION:

To allow two different subnets to

 

access the DataSafe NAS, you must

 

break team configuration. In this case

 

the NIC failover feature will not be

 

provided.

To break team configuration

1.On the primary menu bar, click Network Setup.

2.On the Network Setup page, click NIC Configuration.

3.Follow the prompts and re-enter your password.

The Adapters in a team window displays (see Fig- ure 13 on page 45).

4.Select the Team adapter in the component tree.

5.From the Action menu, select the Remove command.

6.Click OK to commit the new configuration.

To restore team configuration

1.On the primary menu bar, click Network Setup.

2.On the Network Setup page, click NIC Configuration.

3.Follow the prompts and reenter your password.
