bizhub 180 Features and Functions

BOOK SEPARATION (Book Copy)

The Book Separation Copy feature enables the bizhub 180 to copy two facing pages of an open book onto single sided pages. For example, if pages 5 and 6 of a book are copied, page 5 is copied onto one 8.5"x11" sheet of paper and page 6 on another 8.5"x11" sheet of paper.

When the Book Separation Copy feature is used, Frame Erase, Center Erase and Frame + Center Erase are available to ensure the copy output required. Frame Erase will erase a given width along the outside edges to remove any shading or lines around the edges of the book. Center Erase will erase a given width down the center to eliminate the shading that is caused by the

center binding of the book. Frame + Center

Erase combined erases a given width along the outside edges and down the center.

ZOOM RATIO

The Zoom Ratio allows the user to enlarge or reduce a copy as desired. Auto Size automatically selects the most appropriate zoom ratio based on the size of the original loaded and the paper size selected for use. Auto Size will only work when the copier is equipped with the optional Automatic Document Feeders, the DF-502 or DF-605.

There are EIGHT fixed ratios available for selection. The fixed ratios are available for making copies from commonly used original sizes to standard paper sizes. The 8 fixed zoom ratios available are:
