Usingangerprintreader
Dependingontheoptionsyouordered,yourcomputermayhaveanintegratedngerprintreader.By
enrollingyourngerprintandassociatingitwithapower-onpassword,aharddiskpassword,orboth
passwordsbeforehand,youcanstartthecomputer,logontothesystem,andentertheThinkPadSetupby
swipingyourngeroverthereader,withouttypingapassword.Thusngerprintauthenticationcanreplace
passwordsandenablesimpleandsecureuseraccess.
Formoreadvancedsecurity,ClientSecuritySolutioncanbeinstalled.Thesoftwareiscompatiblewitha
varietyofuserauthenticationmechanisms,suchasthoseinvolvingngerprintauthentication.Thisngerprint
readercanworkwiththesoftware.
