YourcomputermaycomewiththeUltraNavpointingdevice.TheUltraNavconsistsoftheTrackPointand
thetouchpad,eachofwhichisitselfapointingdevicewithbothbasicandextendedfunctions.Youcan
congurebothdevicesbychoosingthesettingsyoupreferasfollows:
SetboththeTrackPointandthetouchpadaspointingdevices.
ThissettingenablestheuseofallthebasicandextendedfunctionsoftheT rackPointandthetouchpad.
SettheTrackPointasthemainpointingdeviceandthetouchpadforextendedfunctionsonly .
Thissettingenablestheuseofallbasicande xtendedfunctionswiththeT rackPointwhilelimitingtheuse
ofthetouchpadtoscrolling,tapzones,andslow-motionpointerfunctions.
SetthetouchpadasthemainpointingdeviceandtheT rackPointfortheextendedfunctionsonly.
Thissettingenablestheuseofallbasicandextendedfunctionswiththetouchpadwhilelimitingthe
useoftheTrackPointtoscrollingandMagnifyingGlassfunctions.
SettheTrackPointasthemainpointingdevice,anddisablethetouchpad.
Setthetouchpadasthemainpointingdevice,anddisabletheT rackPoint.
ChangingtheUltraNavsettings
YoucanchangeyoursettingsofUltraNavintheUltraNavtaboftheMousePropertieswindow.Toopenit,
useoneofthefollowingmethods:
PressFn+F8,andtheUltraNavDeviceSettingswindowisdisplayed.Inthiswindow,clickManage
Settings.Amousepropertieswindowisdisplayed.ClicktheUltraNavtab.

UsingtheTrackPointpointingdevice
TheTrackPointpointingdeviceconsistsofapointingstick(1)onthekeyboardandthreeclickbuttonsatthe
bottomofthek eyboard.T omovethepointer(5)onthescreen,youapplypressuretothenonslipcaponthe
pointingstickinanydirectionpar alleltothekeyboard;thepointingstickitselfdoesnotmove.Thespeedat
whichthepointermovesdependsonthepressureyouapplytothepointingstick.Thefunctionsoftheleft(4)
andright(2)clickbuttonscorrespondt othoseoftheleftandrightmousebuttonsonaconventionalmouse.
TheTrackPointcenterbutton(3),calledthescrollbar,enablesyout oscrollWebpagesordocumentsinany
directionwithnoneedtousethegraphicscrollbarsonthesideofthewindow.
