InWindowsXP,youcanuseeitherThinkPadBluetoothwithEnhancedDataRateSoftware,ortheMicrosoft
Bluetoothsoftware.Bydefault,ThinkPadBluetoothwithEnhancedDataRateSoftwareisinstalledonyour
computer.
UsingBluetoothforthersttimeonyourcomputer
IfthisisthersttimeBluetoothhasbeenusedonyourcomputer,followeitherofthefollowingprocedures:
1.Double-clicktheMyBluetoothPlacesicononthedesktop,ortheBluetoothiconinthetaskbar.The
StartUsingBluetoothwindowopens,andsomevirtualdevicedriversareinstalledautomatically.
2.Waituntiltheinstallationofthedriversiscomplete.

1.Right-clicktheMyBluetoothPlacesicononthedesktop,ortheBluetoothiconinthetaskbar.
2.SelectStartUsingBluetooth.TheStartUsingBluetoothwindowopens,andsomevirtualdevice
driversareinstalledautomatically.
3.Waituntiltheinstallationofthedriversiscomplete.
SomeothervirtualdevicedriverswillbeinstalledondemandwhenyouusecertainBluetoothproles
forthersttime.

IfyouareusingWindowsXPandwanttousetheMicrosoftstandardBluetoothfeatures,installthesoftware
