Prerequisitesfortheprocedure

Iftherechargeablebatterypackisincorrectlyreplaced,thereisdangerofanexplosion.Thebattery
packcontainsasmallamountofharmfulsubstances.Toavoidpossibleinjury:
•ReplaceonlywithabatteryofthetyperecommendedbyL enovo.
•Keepthebatterypackawayfromre.
•Donotexposeittoexcessiveheat.
•Donotexposeittowaterorrain.
•Donotshort-circuitit.
•Donotdrop,crush,puncture,orsubjecttostrongforces.Batteryabuseormishandlingcan
causethebatterytooverheat,whichcancausegassesorameto“vent”fromthebattery
packorcoincell.
Replacingthebatteryinstalledinthebatteryspaceofyourcomputer
Toreplacethebattery,followthepr ocedurebelow:
1.T urnoffthecomputer ,orenterhibernationmode.Thendisconnecttheacpoweradapterandallcables
fromthecomputer.
2.Closethecomputerdisplay,andturnthecomputerover.
3.Unlockthebatterylatchbyslidingittotheunlockedposition(1).Holdingthelatchintheunlocked
position,removethebattery(2).
