3. TV Connections 21
Direct Cable (no cable box)
It is very important to connect the inc oming Cable-TV
cable directly (no cable box) to
ANT 1/MAIN
.
1. Connect the primar y incoming coaxial lead cable to
ANT 1/MAIN
on the TV back panel #2.
2. For an optional secondary antenna source, con nect

Antenna with a Single Lead
A. For an antenna wit h flat twin leads
Required: 300-ohm-to-75-ohm transforme r.
A1. For an antenna with flat twin leads, con nect the
300-ohm twin leads to the 300 -ohm-to-75-ohm
transformer.
A2. Push the 75-ohm side of the transforme r onto
ANT 1/MAIN
on the TV back panel #2.
B. For cable or ante nna with coaxial lead
Connect the coaxial lead directly to
ANT 1/MAIN
on
the TV back panel #2.
Antennas with Separate UHF and VHF Leads
Required: UHF/VHF combiner
1. Connect the UHF and VHF antenna l eads to the
UHF/VHF combiner.

Figure 6. Connecting a Single Antenna Le ad
Mitsubishi str ongly recommends you avoid usin g
antennas with flat t win leads. Flat twin lea d
antenna wires are su bject to interference wh ich
may adversely affe ct the performance of th e TV.
We recommend using coa xial antenna cable.
