Mitsubishi LCD Flat Panel HDTV Limited Warrant y
MITSUBISHI DIGITAL ELECTRONICS A MERICA, INC. (“MDEA”) warran ts to the original purchase r of this LCD Flat Panel HDTV that if pu rchased
from an authorized MITSUB ISHI Audio/Video Dea ler, should it prove defective by reaso n of improper workmanshi p and/or material:
a.
Parts. All par ts (except any software incorp orated into this HDTV are war ranted for a period of one year fr om the date of the original purch ase at
retail. We will repair or repl ace, at our option, any defective pa rt without charge for the p art. Parts used for re placement may be replace d with those of
like kind and quality and may b e new or remanufactured. Par ts used for replaceme nt are warranted for the rema inder of the original warra nty period.
b. Embedded Sof tware. MDEA warra nts that all software inco rporated into this HDTV (the “ Embedded Software”) w ill perform in accorda nce
with the functional desc ription of Embedded Soft ware in all material respe cts, but MDEA does not war rant that the Embedded Sof tware is error-
free. MDEA also does no t warrant that the Embedded S oftware will be compatibl e under IEEE 1394 AV/C and HAVi software standa rds with
products produced by any o ther manufacturer. The warran ty contained in this sec tion shall continue for a peri od of one year, from the date of the
original purchase fr om the dealer. If, after prompt notice w ithin the warranty perio d, MDEA determines that th e Embedded Software has f ailed
to perform in accorda nce with such functional de scription in all material r espects and if such failu re is not due to accident, misus e, modification
or misapplication of the Em bedded Software, then M DEA shall modify or re place the nonconforming Em bedded Software at no ch arge to you,
which at MDEA’s sole discretion may b e fulfilled by means of modifi cation or replacement sof tware contained on a rep lacement memory ca rd
for Customer installati on. The foregoing shall be MD EA’s sole obligation to you under this li mited warranty. All rights und er this limited warranty
on the Embedded Softwa re also subject to your compli ance with the terms of the Soft ware License Agreemen t applicable to this HDTV, and this
limited warranty on the Em bedded Software shal l be null and void if the Embedded S oftware is modified or c hanged in any manner except as
specifically autho rized by MDEA.
c. Labor. For certain ite ms that are designed to be rep laced by the consumer, including ( but not limited to) some Embedde d Software, the
consumer is solely res ponsible for any replace ment labor. For all other parts, we w ill provide the labor for a warra nty repair by an authorized
MITSUBISHI service ce nter without charge for one ye ar from the original date of pur chase at retail.

Notice. To obtain warrant y service, you must notif y an authorized MITSUBISHI se rvice center of any defect wi thin the applicable warra nty time period.
BEFORE REQUESTIN G SERVICE, pleas e review the TV owne r’s guide to insure p roper install ation and correc t customer contr ol adjust-
ment. If the pro blem persists , please arrang e for warranty ser vice.
1. TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVI CE:
a. Contact your neares t authorized MITSUBISHI ser vice center whose name a nd address can be obtaine d from your MITSUBISHI dealer, by
writing to the address provi ded below, calling MDEA at 80 0-332-2119, or using the support feature of our we bsite at www.Mitsubishi-t v.com.
b. Warranty service w ill be provided in your home or, if requi red, at an authorized ser vice shop, provided that your tel evision is located within
the geographic terri tory customarily covered by a n authorized MITSUBISHI se rvice center. If not, you must eithe r deliver your television to an
authorized service l ocation at your own expense, or pay f or any travel and/or transpor tation costs the servi ce center may charge to and from you
home. Actual service l abor will be provided withou t charge.
c. Proof of purchase date fro m an authorized MITSUBISHI de aler is required when req uesting warranty ser vice. Present your sales r eceipt or
other document which es tablishes proof and date of pu rchase. THE RETURN OF THE OW NER REGISTRATION CARD IS NOT A CONDITI ON
OF WARRANTY COVERAGE . However, please return the Owner Reg istration Card so that we can co ntact you should a question of s afety arise
which could affect you.
2. THIS LIMITED WARR ANTY DOES NOT COVER :
a. Up to .01% pixel outages (small dot pictur e elements that are dark or i ncorrectly illuminate d).
b. Cosmetic damage or any oth er damage where such dama ge is caused by unauthorize d modification, alteratio n, repairs to or service of t he
product by anyone other than a n authorized MITSUBISHI se rvice center; physical a buse to or misuse of the produc t (or any product damaged
by excessive physical or elec trical stress); any produc ts that have had a serial number o r any part thereof altered , defaced or removed; product
use in any manner contrar y to the Owner’s Guide; freight da mage; or any damage caused by ac ts of God or other factors beyond t he reasonable
control of MDEA, such a s power surge damage cause d by electrical system or dama ges caused by use of third par ty mounting brackets or
stands. This limited war ranty also excludes ser vice calls where no defect i n the product covered under t his warranty is found, ser vice calls
related to unsatisfactor y audio or visual recepti on or signal unless cause d by a defect in the product that i s covered under this limited war ranty,
all costs, expenses or a ny other damages arising fr om product installation , removal from or re-instal lation into custom installat ions or on wall
mountings, or set-ups, any a djustments of user contro ls (including contrast, b rightness, color, tint, fine tun ing, sharpness), other adju stment
necessary to prepa re the unit for display or use, co nnection with any external a udio receiver, antenna, cable o r satellite systems, or serv ice of
products purchased o r serviced outside th e U.S.A.
Please consult the oper ating instructions cont ained in the Owner’s Guide furn ished with the product for in formation regarding use r controls.
3. ANY EXPRESS WARRANT Y NOT PROVIDED HEREIN, AND ANY RE MEDY WHICH, BUT FOR THIS PROVISION, MIGHT A RISE BY
IMPLICATION OR OPERATION OF LAW, IS HEREBY EXCLUDED AN D DISCLAIMED. THE IMPLIED WARR ANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AN D
OF FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PU RPOSE ARE EXPRESSLY LIMITED TO A TERM OF ONE Y EAR.
4. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL MD EA BE LIABLE TO PURCHASER OR ANY OT HER PERSON FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL O R
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, WHE THER ARISING OUT OF BREACH O F WARRANTY, BREACH OF CONTRACT, OR OTHERWIS E.
5. Some states do not allow lim itations on how long an implie d warranty lasts, or the exclu sion or limitation of incide ntal, special, or
consequential dama ges, so the above limitations or exc lusions may not apply to you.
6. This limited warrant y gives you specific legal r ights, and you may also have other ri ghts which vary from state to st ate.
7. In the event of any dispute under this lim ited warranty, jurisdiction a nd venue for resolving that di spute will be in the state where the te levision
was purchased and the laws of s uch state will govern.
In no event shall Mitsubish i have any liability, including witho ut limitation, for general , consequential, incide ntal, or special damage s for loss,
destruction, damage o r corruption of recorde d data, media or software r esulting from use of this telev ision, or cost of recovery of l ost data,
media or software ther efore.
