Using FTP

To restore the configuration file over the LAN, you must have an FTP client program. Windows includes an FTP client program that can be accessed using the Start button and Run menu. Other FTP client programs are available through many software retailers and shareware sites.

To back up or restore the configuration:

1.Rename romfile0.311 to rom-0.

2.Establish an FTP connection to the LAN IP address of the router.

No login name is necessary. The password is the current Manager password. If you have lost the password, use the serial connection method described in the previous section. The factory default password is 1234.

3.Use your FTP program to get (back up) or put (restore) the file named rom-0in the router.

Be sure to specify a binary (not ascii) transfer.
