Congratulations on your purchase of the NETGEARModel RT311 or RT314 Internet Access Gateway Router.

The Model RT311 and RT314 Internet Access Gateway Routers provide connection for multiple personal computers (PCs) to the Internet through an external broadband access device (such as a cable modem or DSL modem) that is normally intended for use by a single PC.

Note: If you are unfamiliar with networking and routing, refer to Appendix B, “Network and Routing Basics,” to become more familiar with the terms and procedures used in this manual.
