1Status LED

Scanner status is indicated as follows:

	Status LED	Scanner status
		No operations in progress. Film
	On	and adapters can be inserted or
		removed.
	Blinks	Scanner busy.	Do not turn
	(about	scanner off or insert or remove
	1.5 ×/s)	ﬁlm or adapters.
	Flickers	Hardware or	communications
	Flickers	error. Turn scanner off, wait
		error. Turn scanner off, wait

2Power switch

Pressing this switch turns the scanner on and off.

3Adapter slot

Adapters for various types of ﬁlm can be inserted in this slot. The MA-21 is insert- ed in the slot at shipment; other adapters include the SA-21 strip ﬁlm adapter (pro-

vided) and a variety of optional adapters for different types of ﬁlm ( 48).

Adapters are equipped with a ﬂap that prevents dust from entering the scanner via the adapter slot. Leave an adapter in the slot when the scanner is not in use.

4MA-21 slide mount adapter

This adapter is used to scan slides. Addi- tional adapters are available for scanning other types of ﬁlm.
