Caring for Film
Keep film free of dust. If necessary, remove dust from the film with a blower before scanning. Dust on the film could damage the media or affect the quality of the scanned image (5).
Inserting Film in the SA-21
•Release the film when the feed mechanism activates. Do not pull or push the film or otherwise inter- fere with the feed mechanism.

If Thumbnail when film is inserted
“Film Base”/”Emulsion Surface”
When film is examined under bright light, the image on the emulsion surface will be in slight relief, with bumps and hollows where the image has been developed. The opposite surface (the film base) will be reflective and smooth. Insert film base up.
