1The total number of pixels captured and the number of pixels captured horizontally and vertically.

Example: r4896×3672 = Approx. 18 megapixels, 4896 × 3672 pixels

2Print size at an output resolution of 300 dpi.

Print sizes are calculated by dividing the number of pixels by printer resolution (dpi) and multiplying by 2.54 cm (1 in.). However, at the same image size, images printed at higher resolutions will print smaller than the size indicated, and those printed at lower resolutions will print larger than the size indicated.

The icon for the current setting is displayed on the monitor in shooting and playback modes (A8, 10).

CImage Mode Setting

The setting is also applied to other shooting modes.

When Easy panorama (A41) or 3D photography (A43) in scene mode is selected, the image mode cannot be selected.
