that contain the subject closest to the camera. When the shutter-

 

release button is pressed halfway, the focus area selected by the

 

camera is displayed on the monitor (multiple areas may light up).

Choose manually the focus position from 99 areas in the screen. This option is suited to situations in which the intended subject is relatively still and not positioned at the center of the frame.

Rotate the multi selector or press H, I, Jor Kto move the focus

xManualarea to where the subject is, and take a picture.

To adjust the following settings,

press the kbutton to temporarily cancel focus area selection, and then adjust each setting.

-Flash mode, macro mode, self-timer or exposure compensation

To return to the focus area selection screen, press the k button again.
