Error Messages

	Display	Cause/Solution	A
	Mode dial is not in	Mode dial is between two modes.	22

		Lens error occurred.
	Lens error	Turn the camera off and then on again. If the error persists,	19
		contact retailer or Nikon-authorized service representative.
	Communications	Error occurred during communication with printer.	E22
	error	Turn off camera and reconnect the USB cable.
		Error has occurred in camera’s internal circuitry.
	System error	Turn off camera, remove and reinsert battery, and turn on	19
		camera. If the error persists, contact retailer or Nikon-authorized
		service representative.
	Could not obtain GPS	(COOLPIX S9500 only)	–
	data.	The camera clock is not set correctly.
		Change the location or time and determine the location again.
		(COOLPIX S9500 only)
		An A-GPS file that can be updated is not found on the memory
		card.
	No A-GPS file found	Check the following items.
		• Whether the memory card is inserted	–
	on card
		• Whether the A-GPS file is stored on the memory card
		• Whether the A-GPS file saved on the memory card is more
		recent than the A-GPS file saved in the camera
		• Whether the A-GPS file is still valid
		(COOLPIX S9500 only)
	Update failed	Unable to update A-GPS file.	E60
		The A-GPS file may be corrupted. Download the file from the
		website once more.
		A memory card is not inserted.	16
		Insert a memory card.
