Error No.	Error message and description
	FRONT LOAD ERROR
	This appears when the take-up reel turns without
E – 51	engaging the tape for the prescribed period of time
	in the start end processing operation while the tape
	is loading (at the half-loading position).
	W-UP REEL NOT ROTA
	This appears when the take-up reel has failed to
E – 52	take up the tape while the tape is running in the
	status where the total tape duration is undetected
	after the cassette was inserted.
	WINDUP ERROR
	This appears when the amount of tape taken up by
E – 53	the take-up reel and the amount supplied by the
	supply reel while the tape is running are abnormally
	different after the total tape duration has been
	detected.
	UNLOAD ERROR
E – 55	This appears when the tape has not been taken up
	during unloading.
	S-FF/REW TIMEOVER
E – 57	This appears when the tape start end processing
	operation fails to be completed.
	DRUM ROTA TOO SLOW
E – 59	This appears when the cylinder motor rotates
	abnormally slowly.
	DRUM ROTA TOO FAST
E – 60	This appears when the cylinder motor rotates
	abnormally quickly.
	CAP ROTA TOO SLOW
E – 61	This appears when the capstan motor rotates
	abnormally slowly.
	S REEL TOO FAST
E – 64	This appears when the supply reel motor rotates
	abnormally quickly.
	T REEL TOO FAST
E – 67	This appears when the take-up reel motor rotates
	abnormally quickly.

	T REEL TORQUE ERR
E – 69	This appears when an abnormal level of torque has
	been detected as having been applied to the take-up
	reel motor.
	This appears on the front panel’s counter display
	when a communication error between the IF
E – 6A	microcomputer and front microcomputer has
	occurred. At this time, the superimposed display will
	be cleared.
	S REEL TORQUE ERR
E – 70	This appears when an abnormal level of torque has
	been detected as having been applied to the supply
	reel motor.
	CAP TENSION ERROR
E – 71	This appears when abnormal tension on the supply
	side has been detected in the capstan mode.
	REEL TENSION ERROR
E – 72	This appears when abnormal tension on the supply
	side has been detected in the reel mode.
	REEL DIR UNMATCH
E – 73	This appears when the direction of the take-up reel
	motor has been reversed.
	DRUM TORQUE ERROR
E – 74	This appears when an abnormal level of torque has
	been detected as having been applied to the
	cylinder motor.
	M-IF COMM ERROR
E – 78	This appears when trouble has occurred in
	communication between the mechanism relay board
	and servo microcomputer.
	BATTERY
E – bA	This appears when the input DC voltage has
	dropped below the undercut voltage (approx.
	10.6 V).

Consult your dealer if the error message display persists even after the unit has been restarted.
