Answering Calls

When a call is received, the unit rings and “Incoming call” is

displayed. If you subscribe to a Caller ID service, the calling party

information will be displayed after the ﬁrst ring (p. 29).

In order to view the Caller ID information, please wait until the

second ring to answer a call.

(Cordless\Handset)

Press .

≥You can also answer a call by pressing any dialing

button (0) to (9), ($) or (#) (—Any Key Talk).

≥You can select the ringer volume while a call

is being received. Press (›) or (‹) while the

cordless handset is just ringing. To set to

OFF, press and hold (›).

Auto Talk

If you set the Auto Talk feature to ON

(p. 19), you can answer a call by lifting the

cordless handset off the charger without

pressing .

(Base\Unit)

You can answer a call by simply lifting the handset. To hang up, place the

handset on the cradle.

Using the speakerphone

1Press (DIGITAL–SP-PHONE).

≥The indicator lights.

2Talk into the MIC.

3To hang up, press

(DIGITAL–SP-PHONE).

≥The indicator light goes out.

≥You can select the ringer volume while a call is being received. Press (RINGER)

while the base unit is just ringing. To set to OFF, press and hold (RINGER).

≥When the cordless handset and base unit ringer volumes are set to OFF, they

will not ring (p. 20).
