Connect the Digital Camera to your PC (Windows 98/2000) Cable, refer to page 43 for additional details.

Turn on the PC (Personal Computer) and start up Windows98/2000.

The “Add New Hardware Wizard” screen of Windows 98/2000 is displayed. [Windows 98]

Insert supplied Software CD-ROM into the CD-ROM Drive.

•If installation cannot be done with steps on page 41, please follow the steps below.

To install software

1 Insert supplied Software CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. A window may appear letting you choose the software you want to install.

Note

•If a window does not appear automatically, click the “Start” button on your desktop and then click “Run”. When the Run box is open, type in “D:\Instmenu.exe” where “D:” is the drive letter of your CD; then click “OK”.

2 Follow the instructions that appear on-screen.

• Exit from all applications and disable any virus-protection applications.

•Select only “Specify a location” and type in “D:\Panasonic\Driver”. “D” Denotes the CD-ROM drive designation.
