Chapter 16. Maintenance

Your hipi mobile phone is a product with sophisticated design and technology. The following suggestions help define your responsibilities as owner and prolong the life of your equipment.

‹Keep the phone and all parts and accessories out of the reach of children.

‹Keep the phone dry. Rain, dampness and/or condensation contain materials which may corrode circuitry.

‹Do not operate or store the phone in dusty areas to avoid damage to detachable parts.

‹Do not place or store the phone in high temperature places. High temperatures may shorten the longevity of the phone, damage the battery, change the shape or even melt the cover.

‹Do not place or store the phone in low temperatures. When the phone restores to a constant temperature, the dampness will condense in the phone and damage the circuit.

‹Do not try to open the cover of the phone. Unauthorized or unqualified repair may cause severe or permanent damage to the phone.

‹Avoid dropping or electrical shock. Inappropriate force may lead to the damage of internal circuitry.

‹Do not use chemical solvents or cleaning liquids to clean the phone.

‹Do not alter the phone’s finish by painting. This could seal or block detachable parts and affect normal operation.

‹Only use the antenna specified by the manufacturer. Unspecified attennae may cause faulty operation or damage phone components.

‹Ensure the phone’s power is OFF before switching or replacing the battery to avoid short- circuiting the phone.

All of the above maintenance suggestions are equally important for the life of your phone, battery, charger and other accessories. If your mobile phone does not appear to be working properly, see your nearest qualified technical service provider.
