Setting up the GUIDE Plus+® System

Below we'll tell you how to set up the GUIDE Plus+® System to suit your own particular needs and how to install the external receiver (satellite receiver, .....) if you have one.

If the GUIDE Plus+® system has not been installed yet, the 'Setup' screen will appear and you can start with the installation right now.

1Switch on the TV set. If required, select the programme number for the DVD recorder.

2Press the GUIDE/TV button on the remote control. The 'Grid' screen will appear.

aA 'Setup screen' will appear
b The GUIDE Plus+® system was not completely installed or the installation
was interrupted (local post code was not entered). Select one of the
settings described in the next chapter and follow the instructions on the	Problem
screen.

3Press P+ A . Select the setting 'Setup' with C . This setting is located on the second page.

4Select one of the following options using P- B or P+ A and confirm with OK .

'View Demo' At this point you will be introduced to the functions of the GUIDE Plus+® system. This will be done using stored demo data.

If you start the demo, programmed recordings can be deleted.

By pressing OK during the presentation, you can proceed directly to the installation of the GUIDE Plus+® system. Read the next section.

Press Aor Bto select. Then press OK to confirm.

'Setup'

Check the data displayed on the screen. If necessary, you can change these. To do so, select the corresponding line with P- B or P+ A .

'Language'

Here you can change the language for the on-screen menu.

1Press OK .

2Select the desired language using P- B or P+ A and confirm with OK .

3 Press OK to return to the 'Setup' screen.
