The Media Browser provides an overview of all the recordings on the HDD. You can display a list of all recordings according to certain criteria (e.g. recording date, protected,...). You can select recordings in

the Media Browser for playback, editing, or transferring (archiving) to a DVD+RW, DVD+R.

Convenience of programming

Your DVD Recorder is equipped with the GUIDE Plus+® System. The GUIDE Plus+® System offers a free interactive electronic programme guide that lists all the TV programmes available in your area.

The guide information is sent together with your TV signal so there's nothing to load or buy. The service is free!

You can also use the GUIDE Plus+® System to program your DVD recorder to record your favourite shows.

With the push of a button, you will see a summary of all the TV programmes currently being shown on the various TV channels. For the summary, you can either display all shows for a particular start time or sorted according to category.

Convenience of recording

Thanks to the built-in 80GB HDD it is possible to store up to 130 hours of recordings directly in the machine. The DVD-Recorder starts recording the current TV show as soon it is switched on. Everything you watch through the DVD-recorder is stored in the 'Time Shift Buffer'.

Convenience of editing

The data from the GUIDE Plus+® system is also used to automatically name the shows. You can edit the name, 'hide' unwanted scenes, divide titles and change the index picture which identifies the recording.

If the HDD fills up with recordings you can switch on the Auto-delete function, and the oldest recording will be automatically deleted.

Convenience of archiving

Each recording on the HDD can be copied (archived) on a DVD+RW, DVD+R. This will be done at high speed (20 times faster than the time it took to record), so you will get a disc which contains e.g. a recording of 5 hours in record mode M4 in about 30 minutes.

During archiving you can still watch TV programmes and record them in the Time Shift Buffer.
