With SIP-CX component you can start or join a meeting and you can control and monitor the ongoing meeting that are based on directly from within Office Communicator. Additional conferencing scenarios are available with Office Communicator SIP-CX component:

•Starting a New Conference directly from within Office Communicator

•An Office Communicator user invites another Office Communicator user to the Conference

•An Office Communicator user dials out to another office communicator user media device

•Adding Audio/Video to an Office Communicator multiparty IM session from the Conversation window using the Conferencing button

Point-to-Point Meeting

Polycom PVX and VSX high quality video endpoints are LCS 2005 compatible; they can register with the LCS 2005 and can be added to Windows Messenger and Office Communicator buddy lists, displaying their presence status. This enables you to start a point-to-point video conference from your buddy list (in this scenario, the MGC unit is not required).
