Printing using Infrared

You can print directly from the netBook to any Infrared capable (IrDA) printer. To set up the netBook:

1.Select the Printer icon from the Control panel in the System screen, or the Print setup command from the Printing commands on the File menu.

2.If necessary, press the Printer button. Select the printer model and select ‘Infrared’ as the method via which you want to print.

3.If you want, check the layout of the document using Print preview, then select the Print command from the Printing commands on the File menu.

4.Enter the range of pages and number of copies.

5.Point the netBook at the printer, making sure that the netBook and printer are no more than one metre apart, and press Print.

Printing to a parallel printer

You can use a Parallel Printer Link to connect the netBook directly to a parallel printer.

To do this:

1.Select the Printer icon from the Control panel in the System screen, or the Print setup command from the Printing commands on the File menu.

2.If necessary, press the Printer button. Select the printer model and select ‘Parallel port’ as the method via which you want to print.

Your netBook is now ready to print directly to a parallel printer. Refer to the documentation accompanying the Parallel Printer Link for more information on connecting it to your netBook.
