Managing emails

When you first open Email, you will see the “Folders” view which displays your mailboxes, folders and messages. The “Local” folders (on the left) are stored on your netBook, so you can create and view messages in these folders when you aren’t connected.

If you have set up an email account, a “Remote” mailbox will be

displayed

(with the name you gave your account) below the

Local folders. When people send email messages to you, they will be kept in the Remote mailbox until the next time you connect to it. When you connect, you can transfer (or ‘download’) messages from your Remote mailbox to the Local folders on your netBook.

Note: If you haven’t set up an email account yet, see ‘To find out more’ at the end of this chapter for details.
