Setting up Email on your netBook

If you have collected all the information in the checklist, you are now ready to set up your netBook to connect to your ISP.

Connecting your modem

1.If you are using a PC Card modem:

∙Insert the modem into the PC card slot on your netBook. or if you are using an external PC modem:

∙Connect your netBook to the modem using the netBook’s serial cable.

What do I need to do this?

To connect your netBook serial cable to your modem you may require a Psion modem cable adapter. You can only use a Psion adapter, which can be obtained from your local distributor.

2.Connect your modem to the telephone socket and switch on the modem.
