Questa lettura esposimetrica dà una certa prevalenza all’area centrale della scena.

Usare questo tipo di misurazione quando si vuole compensare l’esposizione in base all’esperienza invece di lasciarlo fare alla fotocamera.

Il diagramma mostra come la sensibilità cresca verso il centro. Questo modo non compensa automaticamente situazioni di controluce.

Utilizzo della misurazione media ponderata al centro

Con la misurazione spot, la luminosità è misurata solo entro un’area limitata al centro dello schermo, come mostrato in figura. Si può usare questo metodo in combinazione col blocco AE (p.205) quando il soggetto è molto piccolo ed è difficile ottenere un’esposizione corretta.
