Punti di messa a fuoco

Posizione nel mirino che determina la messa a fuoco.

Istogramma

Un grafico che mostra i punti luminosi e oscuri di una immagine. L’asse orizzontale rappresenta la luminosità e quelli verticali i pixel. È utile quando ci si vuole riferire allo stato di esposizione di un'immagine.

JPEG

Metodo di compressione dell’immagine. L’immagine è registrata in formato JPEG quando la qualità è impostata su (ottima), (migliore), o (buona). Le immagini registrate in formato JPEG sono adatte ad essere visualizzate su PC o allegate ad un e-mail.

Filtro ND (densità neutra)

Filtro con molti livelli di saturazione che regola la luminosità senza influenzare l’immagine stessa.

Riduzione rumore

Processo per ridurre il rumore (irregolarità nell’immagine) che si generano con tempi di posa lenti.

NTSC/ PAL

Formati di uscita video. NTSC si usa principalmente in Giappone, Nord America e Sud Corea. PAL si usa principalmente in Europa e Cina.

Qualità

Si riferisce al rapporto di compressione dell’immagine. Più bassa è la compressione e più l’immagine è dettagliata. L’immagine è più irregolare se il tasso di compressione aumenta.

Dati RAW

Uscita di dati dell’immagine non editati dal CCD. I dati Raw (grezzi) sono quelli prima dell’elaborazione da parte della fotocamera. Aggiungere le impostazioni aggiunte prima della ripresa in altri formati di file (come bilanciamento bianchi, contrasto, tono e nitidezza) singolarmente inquadratura per inquadratura dopo lo scatto.

Inoltre i dati RAW sono a 12 bit e contengono 16 volte le informazioni dei dati JPEG a 8 bit e TIFF. È possibile una ricca gradazione. Trasferire i dati RAW nel computer e usare il software in dotazione per creare dati di immagine con impostazioni diverse come JPEG o TIFF.
