If your desired network does not appear, click Refresh.
An access point is represented by the ( ) icon and an Ad Hoc network is represented by the () icon.
2.Enter Profile Name to use for the network connection.
3.In the Security window, select either Set Security Method according to the settings of the access point (or Ad Hoc network).
If Set Security Method has been selected, click on Configure to configure detailed security settings.
The network authentication, the encryption type and the password of an access point are configured by the access point management program. To acquire security information, check the access point security settings or ask your wireless network administrator.
WEP Key Settings:
-Data Encryption: The IEEE 802.11 WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) standard provides two security levels, a
-The key type is either a hexadecimal number or in lower case ASCII.
-To use lower case ASCII: Select Use Password to activate this function. Enter 5 alphanumeric characters
-To use a hexadecimal number: In the WEP key field, enter 10 hexadecimal digits
In the Ad Hoc network, WEP key is supported only.
4.Click OK.
5.When a profile is created, the new profile will be displayed in the Profile list.
