Disabling Unused Devices

If you turn off unused devices, battery lifetime will get longer.

1 Click Device Manager from Start > Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > Systems > Hardware tab.

2 Right-click the devices that you are not using and select Disabled.

Enabling Battery Calibration

If you charge the battery to use that has not been used up, the gap between actual battery capacity and battery residual amount happens to have. Accordingly the battery life may get shorter.

In this case, use the Battery Calibration feature to completely discharge the battery and charge it again. Then this gap will disappear.

1 Turn off the computer and remove the AC adapter.

2 Turn on the computer again. When the SAMSUNG logo appears, press the F2 key to enter the Setup.

3 Select Boot Menu > Smart Battery Calibration and press the Enter key.

4 Select Yes from the Battery Calibration Confirmation window and press the Enter key. The Battery Calibration starts. To stop it, press the Esc key.

It takes about three to five hours depending on the battery capacity and residual amount.
