To ensure normal recording and clear pictures, clean the video heads. When the vindicator and

“ CLEANING CASSETTE” message appear one after another or playback pictures are “noisy” or hardly visible, the video heads may be dirty.

If this happens, clean the video heads with the Sony V8-25CLH cleaning cassette (not supplied). After checking the picture, if it is still “noisy,” repeat the cleaning. (Do not repeat cleaning more than 5 times in one session.)

Caution

Do not use a commercially available wet-type cleaning cassette. It may damage the video heads.

If the Sony V8-25CLH cleaning cassette is not available in your area, consult your nearest Sony dealer.

Precautions

Camcorder operation

•Operate the camcorder on 7.2 V (battery pack) or 8.4 V (AC power adaptor).

•For DC or AC operation, use the accessories recommended in this manual.

•Should any solid object or liquid get inside the casing, unplug the camcorder and have it checked by a Sony dealer before operating it any further.

•Avoid rough handling or mechanical shock. Be particularly careful of the lens.
