Playing a DivX video file

1 Load a DATA CD or DATA DVD with DivX video files on the disc tray.

The list of the albums appears in the on-screen display.

2 Press M or m repeatedly to select the album you want, then press ENTER.

The list of files of the selected album appears in the on-screen display.

3 Press M or m repeatedly to select the

file you want, then press ENTER.

Playback starts from the selected file.

To stop playback

Press x.

To go to the next or previous page of file list

Press , or < repeatedly.

To play back the next or previous DivX video file

Press . or > repeatedly (or turn .> on the unit clockwise or counterclockwise) during playback.

Note

You can select the next album by pressing > repeatedly (or turn .> on the unit clockwise) until the last track of the current album then press > repeatedly (or turn .> on the unit clockwise). The first track of the next album is selected. However, you cannot select the previous album by pressing . repeatedly (or turn .> on the unit counterclockwise). To select the previous album, select the album from the album list.

To return to the previous display

Press O RETURN.

Notes

If there are no DivX video files recorded on a DATA DVD, a message appears to indicate that the disc is not playable.

Depending on the DivX video file, the picture may pause or unclear. In these case, it is recommended that you create the file at a lower bit rate. If the sound is still noisy, MP3 is the recommended audio format. Note that, this system does not conform to WMA (Windows Media Audio) format.

Due to the compression technology used for DivX video files, it may take some time after you press H (or nN on the unit) for the picture to appear.

Depending on the DivX video file, the sound may not match the pictures on the screen.

Tips

You can view the disc information while playing a DivX video file (page 81).

If the number of viewing times is preset, you can play back the DivX video files as many times as the preset number. The following occurrences are counted:

when the system is turned off.

when the disc tray is opened.

when another file is played back.
