xLEVEL (SURROUND)

You can adjust the level of each surround speaker as follows. Be sure to set “TEST TONE” to “ON” for easy adjustment.

This setting cannot be selected if you set “SURROUND” in “SIZE” to “NONE”. The default settings are underlined.

L

Set this between –6 dB and

0.0 dB

+6 dB in 1 dB increments.

 

 

R

Set this between –6 dB and

0.0 dB

+6 dB in 1 dB increments.

 

 

xTEST TONE

The speakers will emit a test tone to adjust “LEVEL (FRONT)” and “LEVEL (SURROUND)”.

The default setting is underlined.

OFF

The test tone is not emitted from

 

the speakers.

 

 

ON

The test tone is emitted from each

 

speaker in sequence except for

 

subwoofer. The test tone is

 

emitted from selected speakers

 

during “LEVEL (FRONT)” or

 

“LEVEL (SURROUND)”

 

adjustment.

 

 

Using the THEATRE SYNC function

THEATRE SYNC allows you to turn on your Sony TV and this system, changes the system’s function to “DVD” and then switches the TV’s input source you set with one button.

Preparing for the THEATRE SYNC function

Register the TV’s input source connected to this system.

Hold down SLEEP and press numeric buttons, CLEAR or ALBUM +/– to select the TV’s input source connected to this system.
