Sony Notebook Computer User Guide

✍Make sure your microphone is designed for computer use.

The microphone should be compliant with the plug-in power microphone.

See the manual supplied with your peripheral for more information on installation and use.

External Microphone

Your VAIO notebook does not contain an internal microphone. If you need to use a sound input device, for example to chat on the Internet, you need to plug in an external microphone.

To connect an external microphone

❑Use the m to locate the Microphone connector. Plug the microphone cable into this connector.
